Teachers’ motivation and its role in triggering, enhancing and reinforcing students’ motivation

As a part of my research I am constructing a web-based survey aimed at investigating the degree of English teachers’ motivation in France, as well as its role in generating students’ motivation and the motivational strategies they make use of in their classrooms. The theoretical basis on which this survey is established is taken from Dornyei’s works on motivation, who is professor of psycholinguistics at the University of Nottingham. The survey will be put online in two or three weeks from now.
